What is Screencasting?
Many educational technology tools can be used in education; however, one of the usable teaching tools is the screencast. A screencast can provide learners a student-centered and engaging learning experience in both distance and traditional learning settings.
A screencast is a digital video and audio recording of what happens on a presenter's computer screen, and it can be used to create advanced, information-rich multimedia presentations.
Below is an example of a screencasting video. This animated video was created using Powtoon, which is one of the viral screencasting tools. You will also find the visual video organizer template for each scene of the movie.
